Overview

Veela: Tip & Income Tracker is a personal income tracking tool built for nail technicians. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

What we collect

Free tier — local storage only

When you use the free tier, all data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on our servers:

• Service logs (service name, earnings, tips, commission)
• Client names or notes
• Your commission rate or pay structure settings

This data lives in your phone's local storage and is backed up automatically by Apple's iCloud backup service, subject to Apple's own privacy policy.

Pro tier — cloud sync (future feature)

When you subscribe to Veela Pro, the following data is stored securely in our cloud database solely to enable sync and restore across devices:

• Service log entries (date, service name, pay type, earnings, tips, client name, notes)
• Expense records (date, category, amount, miles driven, description)
• Client notes (freeform notes you add to client profiles)
• Preset service types
• Settings including default commission rate, language preference, pay period configuration, and income goals
• Last sync timestamp (used for data retention enforcement)

We will never sell this data to third parties.

Always collected

• Crash reports — anonymous technical information to help us fix bugs. Does not include your personal or financial data.
• Anonymous usage analytics — which screens are used, how often. No personally identifiable information.

What we do not collect

• Your name, email address, or phone number (free tier)
• Payment card information (handled entirely by Apple)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or data from other apps
• Any information about your clients beyond what you voluntarily type

How we use your data

• To provide app functionality (logging, history, tax export)
• To sync data across devices (Pro tier only)
• To improve the app through anonymous analytics
• To send your monthly tax summary email (Pro tier only, opt-in only)

We do not use your data for advertising. The App contains no third-party ads.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. This applies to all users including California residents under the CCPA.

We do not rent or share your personal data with third parties, except: - **Sentry** (sentry.io) — we use Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring. Sentry receives anonymous diagnostic data including device type, iOS version, and stack traces when the app encounters an error. No financial data, client names, or personal information is included in these reports.

• Apple — for App Store payment processing and iCloud backup
• Cloud infrastructure providers — Pro tier only, under strict data processing agreements
• Legal requirements — if required by applicable law

Data retention

• Free tier — data stays on your device until you delete the app
• Pro tier — data is retained while your account is active; you may request deletion at any time
• Analytics — anonymous data retained for up to 12 months

Your rights

You have the right to: - **Access** the data we hold about you - **Correct** inaccurate data - **Delete** your data — use the in-app Delete Account feature for immediate deletion, or contact us at the email below - **Export** your data at any time using the CSV export or backup features built into the app We will respond to any requests within 30 days. For account deletion requests submitted by email, we will verify your identity by asking you to confirm the email address associated with your Apple Sign In before processing.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
